In continuation of its efforts to promote Indian states in Brazil, and to mark the 70 years of India-Brazil diplomatic relations, Embassy of India in Brazil organized a cultural evening on Monday, 5 February, celebrating the Indian state of Karnataka. The event was marked by the launch of the book “Uma Arvore em Flor”, Portuguese version of the book “A Flowering Tree and Other Oral Tales from India” written by celebrated Indian author A.K. Ramanujan (1929-1993).
The event was attended by 60 dignitaries including Ambassadors, Brazilian diplomats, media personnel and culture aficionados in Brasilia. The book was unveiled by renowned violinist Dr. L. Subramaniam, celebrated singer Ms. Kavita Krishnamurthy.
