Residents in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul must submit their visa application to the Consulate General of India in São Paulo. The consular section of the Embassy of India in Brasilia has jurisdiction over other Brazilian states.
Brazilian nationals holding a diplomatic or official passport do not need a visa for trips not longer than 90 days in India. However, the international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is still mandatory.
Satellite phones are not allowed to be carried by foreigners travelling to India on any type of visa.

Collection of passport, visa and documentation: Monday to Friday, from 2 PM to 5 PM.
